CAT:Contemporary Gardens


Have we gotten Contemporary Gardens catalog yet?  I could swear I got
one for 2001 but I found only the one from 2000.  Can anyone help me?

My SDB's are blooming yet and I have several that the Brother Labels
faded away completely but they are all lovely.  I want to try
hybridizing for blue bearded pinks and for pastel pink and lavender or
violet bicolors.  I fell in love with Chanted and would like to try for
a more prolific blooming pink with blue beard.  This year I will do my
homework and order the irises that I need for the crosses and hope to be
able to make crosses next year.  I expect it will take several years to
learn what crosses show promise and then I can concentrate on using them
and their offspring.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

By the way, last year I used the paint pens from WalMart and the Craft
store to write on heavy duty plastic knives to label my iris and they
are as clear and fresh looking as they were last spring when I first put
them in the garden.  Thank you to all of you who submitted this
information to the list.
