I hear that Chinese hackers are attacking systems due to that spy plane 
incident.  Maybe that's it.

As for alternate sites - I get a list on Topica.com.  I also get a couple of 
lists through universities - Un Toronto for one, Indiana Un, one in NM, and 
also one in Holland.

RosalieAnn (daughter of Rosalie, in southern MD) where the old purple iris 
that came with the house are in full bloom and the more modern ones are 
starting up too.

We came up the Intercoastal Waterway from FL - took a month or so and we 
could see the azaleas in bloom all the way up- and had hot weather until we 
got to Norfolk and then it turned cold and was down to freezing so Bob 
slipped on the ice on the pier (from a dripping water faucet) and skinned his 
whole shin and almost fell in the water, and now has turned hot again.
