Hi Everyone:
Does anyone out there grow Superstition? Does this, particularly
the beard color, sound like it to you?
This thing has been growing in the garden for a few years. The flower
is early, and a very dark mulberry self with electric blue beards
which fade to purple. It only grows 12-18" high. It has good
substance and the flower lasts for a while. It has modern form: falls
which stick out with slight ruffling. The flower is smaller than
other known TB's I grow, and it really reminds me more of an SDB.
Until a few days ago, I always thought it was short because it was
suffering some sort of malady.
It is really pretty...It is a 'Mart iris sold as Superstition, but it
may have been misnamed.
I have nothing against 'Mart mysteries', its fun to see what comes
out, but I don't want to call it what it is not.
Thanks,
Laetitia
