SEVERAL YEARS AGO WHEN I CONTACTED RORIS GARDEN ABOUT GETTING ONE OF THEIR
CALENDARS--THEY WERE GOING TO BE CLOSED FOR A YEAR--THEN PLANNED TO REOPEN--
IT IS SAID THAT RORIS GARDEN IS OWNED BY SOME JAPANESE INVESTORS--AND ONE OF
THE MANAGERS-OWNERS--DIED--AND THEY WERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO
WITH THE GARDEN--AS HE WAS THE ONE MOST INTERESTED IN IT--
AS OF A YEAR AGO, THE LAND WAS STILL THERE WITH PLANTS ON IT--BUT THE AREA
WHERE IT IS--SOUTH EAST OF SACRAMENTO--IS ALL BEING TURNED INTO HOUSING
DEVELOPMENTS--SO I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT THE LAND WAS SOLD AND
WAS TURNED INTO A SUBDIVISION--
SO FAR--NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE--BUT I KEEP HOPING--'CAUSE I REALLY MISS THEIR
CALENDAR--
Carryl in western Montana--I now have 6 SDB in bloom and 2 MDB, but my son's
dog--who we have been taking care of on a 'temporary' basis--discovered that
it was fun to pull the markers out and play with them-- so who knows
names!!!!!!!
