Your tough on irises Walter, but I fully understand. Having limited space myself and finding some of the newer intros not performing well or ending up as something I DONT want to hybridize with, I have been in the yanking mood myself. Even a few of my poor growing seedlings or ones with real yukky foliage have been yanked prior to it maturing and blooming.
I was REALLY tempted to yank one new introduction this year when it bloomed. It has fairly good growth, and sent up TWO stalks...but then they prodeced to fall over onto the ground. When I got to see how narrow the halfs were on this NEW INTRODUCTION, I about yanked it and shredded it with the lawn mower right then and there! I was so disgusted with it. It WILL be going bye bye this fall!
It is a shame so much money is spent on new introductions that have their flaws conceiled in the pictures.

Patrick, your slide is very clear and I can see all of the colors F is
supposed to have. I have watched it for two years here now and either don't
see or have comletely overlooked all of the nuances of color. Here
the blooms have good form as in the slide, but the color is a 'dull'
cream. The sun bleaches out the color before I can get outside to
take a look, I guess. I think WISHFUL THINKING, one of its parents,
is much better.

I have not been working in that area or with reverse neglectas/bicolors.
Oh, I did made a cross with CROWNED HEADS.

I am sorry to disappoint you. I recall pulling up DUTCH TREAT while
in bloom the year after it was introduced. Just not my iris. I
didn't give it two years in the garden.
