>I've heard rumors of a pink cristata in western North Carolina or eastern
>Tennessee but have had no luck finding it. It may have been mentioned in the
>World Of Iris, but I can't remember for sure.
On p. 112, the BIS species book says:
"Several clones including various shades of blue, violet, pink and
white are known and some, mostly found as wild plants, have been
named."
I have a couple of blues, a dark violet and a white, but have never
heard of nor seen a pink cristata. Yellow is a color that does not
occur in any crested iris species on record.

"My Aunt Maria asked me to read the life of Dr. Chalmers, which,
however, I did not promise to do. Yesterday, Sunday, she was heard
through the partition shouting to my Aunt Jane, who is deaf, 'Think
of it! He stood half an hour today to hear the frogs croak, and he
wouldn't read the life of Chalmers,'"
