Linda, your advice is piceless1 I'm glad you added a nap! I have one thing
to add, if it is very hot, no shade, and work has to be done in the sun: A
large Beach Umbrella does wonders! And it can be tilted as the sun moves --
and re-plunged into the ground when you need to move. And cotton wearing
apparel is cooler than that polyester stuff! - ironing is not that
important for the garden, and sometimes you can find crinkle-crepe.
Jeans/slacks/ shorts are o.k., but I think skirts are cooler (sorry, boys!
join the Highlanders!) AND of course, protect your skin from the sun --
you know there is the highest rate of cancer among farmers, sailors, etc!
Rosalie nr Baltimore zone 7 where we are having ideal wether -- cool, but
the heat will hit us again, I';m sure. ryfigge@aol.com
