Re: TB:IRIS COLOR

Often times, when newcommers grow irises, irises rot. Perhaps the blue and yellow ones rotted or did not do well and the white ones took over. Sometimes, even to the best of us, we will plant something that is SUPPOSED to be blue or yellow, but is actually white. In rare cases, seed pods can form one year the white ones end up being the children of the cross that took place.

Regardless of what you plant, irises do not revert back to any particular color.

I have heard people say it was because they had planted white iris too, but
I'm not sure I buy that. So can some one tell me another reason why this
would occur?
