Re: PHOTO: New Iris Photograph/Image Website

After reading several people's messages regarding the photo of KILT LILT on
the new site, I had to go to that link and look.  I have to agree that my
KILT LILT looks identical to the one at www.variationsgreenhouse.com, which
El indicated.  The other two photos on "iris-moose" that I saw differences
with were:  ENGLISH COTTAGE (mine has VERY pale violet veining on the
shoulders.)  Perhaps that just didn't show up in the photo on the web site?
And also the photo of PELE didn't look right.  It's not bloomed yet in my
yard, but I thought it was an SDB or an MDB, not a TB as the photo looks to
be, and the colors in the catalogs and on the web sites I've seen are very
different from the photo on the irismoose site.

Now, speaking as a true computer-geek (I've been a professional Graphic
Artist for 22 years now). . . the irismoose site is FABULOUS!!!!!!  I don't
think I've seen a site that colorful, and eye-appealing in a long time, and
the ease of navigation through it is wonderful!  GREAT JOB!!!!!!  I will be
sharing that site with all of my local irisarians.

A question for Iris. . . would you like more photo-submissions for your
site?  I have a ton of really nice photos of my iris, taken with my Canon
EOS-Rebel, and an excellent close-up lens.  I have a little over 200
varieties growing here, and my iris scrapbooks are kept up-to-date more than
my family photo-albums are! (A fact my three teenagers frown about!)

You also mentioned a "photos-list" for this e-group. . . and being new, I'd
like to learn more about that too.  Anyone have info. on that?
