Hi Linda,
If you're storing the pollen in closed plastic containers there's always
some moisture build up. If they're good tight containers, the freezer air
shouldn't be getting into them. The desiccant keeps the pollen from going
mushy if there's any residual moisture.. (I harvest the entire anther then
air dry them before freezing). As far as "too dry"... I haven't found that
to be the case.
