Tom,
Both of those Iris do great here. And I would love to have them. Unfortunately anything that does not do well here is already dead. Those were Caption, Beverly Sills, Marriage Vows, and if there are more the tags were lost as well. They all froze. Well Endowed is so sick I have pulled it up and paired off the rot again and cloroxed it. I would not send it to anyone in this shape. In fact I have had it for 5 years and have not given any away because it gets rot to easily. I plan on planting it by itself on a steep slope in full sun and see if it does any better. previously I had planted it where the house keeps the ground from getting as far below freezing as a less sheltered site would as I understand it can freeze to death. I did get one flower off of it. WHich reminded me why I bought it to begin with. It is stunning.
Wendy Zone 5 and raining,YEAH , 63 degrees and lows into the high 30's Last week it was 89. Typical Kansas.

OK. Now I'm mad!! (for me geting mad is only kissing the
dog once an hour, so don't be concerned). But, I posted a
question a week or so ago that no one bit on. I was saying
that in my Dallas zone 7, Edith Wolford and Immortality are
not supposed to bloom, so what am I supposed to do with
them? I was hoping someone would say "Gee where I live,
they do great. So how about sending them to me."
There must be some way for us to trade what are losers in my
growing area for someone else's losers that do great in my
area. Is there any group that has tried to do this? Since
this is my first year with irises and all my blooms were set
at Schrieners, I don't have a clue as to what will bloom and
what won't. But next year I will and I'd love to trade my
losers for someone elses treasures.
