TAGS FOR IRIS

Has anybody in HOT Long Summer areas used the Brothers tag making stuff?
I know we tried using the plastic product (before the new fandangled
machines) and they faded the second year here in our HOT wonderful
valley.  Lorraine at Woodland iris gardens in Modesto California, in
zone 9
