Probably not too different from my Sunset 23 in San Juan Capistrano. My
most consistent rebloomers (not necessarily my prettiest iris) are Rock
Star, Stingray, Reincarnation, Eggnog, Double Agent, Plum Wine, Mabel
Andrews, and Dante's Inferno. I used to have Born Again, Witch of Endor,
Miss Scarlet, and Jewel Baby, which all rebloomed regularly. Sometimes
Mulled Wine or Victoria Falls will rebloom. Most Monty Byers intros seem to
have the potential. Unfortunately few of the above are worth recommending
if the flower form is a priority. Others like Best Bet, Tomorrow's Child,
and Glistening Icicle can be counted on to rebloom, just not to survive or
increase. Some of the newer Ghio plicatas and Luminatas are supposed to be
rebloomers; most of them are striking in appearance and would probably be an
excellent choice. His home garden is in Santa Cruz, probably a similar
climate.
