East Tennessee Iris Society show & sale will be Sat, May 4, at Knoxville
Center (formerly East Towne Mall), open to the public free of charge
from 1 to 5 pm. For those interested in entering, set up for show
stalks at 8 AM, ends at 11, judging begins at 11:15. Set up for
artistic division (design classes) ends at 12, judging begins at 12:15.
The theme is Sing A Patriotic Song. Classes for the artistic division
are
Class 1: God Bless America, mass or line mass with a patriotic theme,
designer's interpretation
Class 2: It's a Grand Old Flag, designer's interpretation, must contain
red, white, & blue iris. No flags may be used.
Class 3: America the beautiful, must contain at least 2 stalks of purple
irises, designer's interpretation
Class 4: Star Spangled Banner, vertical design, designer's
interpretation
Class 5: America - designer's interpretation
