I ate one of the previously frozen meals today - the kind
with chicken on one side and a potato-containing stew
on the other side.

The results indicate that for meals with an unequal depth
in the sections as much as this type had do not thaw fully in the refrigerator section of the small refrigerator, since the
deep section needed twice as much cooking time in the
microwave as the shallow section.  We might want to try
harder to leave meals with such unequal depths unfrozen.
