An after thought. We may be the ones causing the perceived Yahoo problems.
When using the Yahoo interface attachments are limited to about 100 or so kb
in size. There is no limit when other interfaces are used. Many are
transmitting files far in excess of that. Could be doing such more than just
taxes storage capacity. May be the load causes stripping of some post when
they collide. Just speculating. Know little.
