I have been with this list all the way back to the time of 
Rt.66 and Two Guys Ina A Garage <G>. Mallorn has been 
with us to, and has kept our archives and provided us a 
search engine for them. If votes count, I vote for Mallorn.

  As far as I am concerned, newsgroups/usegroups are not an option - for
  the simple reason that you have no control over who can and cannot post.
  There is no way to control flamers, nor language etc. Children are on
  the list, and I have strong opinions about the ambiance of the list. The
  archives are open to the public already. 

  There have been a (very) few problems over the years, but a listserver
  provides a method for dealing with them.
