Sounds like you need to get out the stakes, unionzone...sorry, I don't know your name. Very often when it warms up quickly the iris stalks bolt, or grow very fast, and they are soft and will bend very easily.

Beautifulestest weather I can ever remember.
Saint Paul MN, big TB stalks up this morning, maybe 24", and
one big bloom on the end.
Temp climbs up to about 75, rather high humidity--stalk
starts to bend - bloom is now almost at a right angle to ground.
Should I shade? water? stake up? cry? forget about it?
HELP!!
