RE: Master Named Iris Listing with Photos

We all wish there was!!! There is a master list, acutually there are
several of them. Every 10 years the AIS publishes a book listing all the
iris registered and or introduced in the last 10 years. Annual editions are
published as well. We are currently working on getting this service on line
and some of it is available now. http://www.irisregister.com/
You have to sign up for this and get a password and so on but it is handy.
Unfortunately, there are no pictures available with these. You can however
browse through several web sites including ours, for iris and their
pictures.
As far as conflicts go, there aren't any because in order name an iris you
must register it with the AIS and they verify that the name has not already
been used.

Is there a Master Named Iris Listing with Photos of each anywhere out
there? Does the AIS maintain such a thing? What happens when/if
someone creates a new iris and the name they've chosen conflicts with
one already in existence?

Just curious, Cate
