Y'all are giving me ideas. I've got a seedling I've saved that is the
UGLIEST iris I've ever seen yet. It has marvelous branching, great
budcount, heaviest possible substance you can imagine (think "Tupperware"),
will go through anything--hail, high wind, heat, water, cloudbursts, and it
is GREY. The ugliest grey there is.
It's so bad I think I'll name it--TAX TIME.
Actually, it would probably be a fabulous parent, as all it is is a mix of
cream and light blue, adding up to muckly-te-dum grey. Bred either
direction, as it aslo carries "t" in two or three doses, it could have
beautiful babies, but in itself, it is just awful.
I haven't had the heart to make a cross with it yet.
