Re: HYB: HOM crosses


Are you saying you had an orange seedling from HOM?  Interesting - I
thought HOM was missing the pigments needed to give orange and wouldn't
be able to pick up enough doses for it in a single generation.

HoM tends to give mostly small flowered babies, but quite a few have
nice form & substance, even from some of the older stuff I've tried.   I
used a lot of pinks on it hoping to mix up the possibilities for future
generations, but thought both pink and orange were out of the question
in the first generation.

Actually, the main reason I used a lot of pinks is because those were
the wide large flowered ones with pollen that cooperated.
