Anner,
You have had quite a few responses but I wanted to put my bit in
too. We have used both the Brother labels and the clear laser labels. The
Brother labels worked wonderfully for us. However, they were quite
expensive. We have been using the pawpaw metal labels spray painted white
with the clear laser labels placed on them. As long as we use a good brand,
not the cheap house brand, they stick well and last a long time. This year
we swapped to mini-blinds instead of the metal labels. The pawpaw labels,
for just the face plate are about $10 per 100 and for $10 you can get about
600 mini-blind labels. We are testing them this year and will know more in
a couple of years but so far so good. They are cheap enough to throw away
instead of scraping and redoing every couple of years. We'll see.

Subject: [iris] CULT: Leading Edge Labels
Greetings.
I appreciate that folks are busy but I'd like to know what the current
wisdom is with regard to labels, please.
More specifically, I'd like to know whether those of you who have used the
Brother P-Touch label making system still are happy with it, and which
current
models of same, and which labels have proven the most satisfactory and
durable over time.
Also, I'd like to know what pen those of you who use a pen-marked label are
finding best these days. At one time there was much said of a "paint
marker"
style obtainable from Walmart as opposed to the Sharpie which fades long
term. Is this still the case? Are you still using the cut up plastic window
blinds?
Anyone got any sort of a new system that is economical and really
satisfactory long-term that they would care to recommend? I'm not talking
about maps.
Thank you so much.
Cordially,
Anner Whitehead
