Hi Dana,
Your advise is good. Roundup is most harmful when your plants are going
through rapid growth. I'm careful when I use it and try to avoid the iris. I
don't intentionally spray them. That said, even slight over spray will affect
growth and bloom, and I suspect that Arils and their offspring may be less
tolerant to Roundup than TB's.
I wouldn't use chemicals if I could, but with 2 gardens and a full time job, I
can't avoid it.
