After letting HoM petal soak since I last posted questions, changing alcohol every day or whenever I remembered to do it, nearly all of the yellow pigment is finally out! Yay. :-(
Looks like I've discovered a quick technique for evaluating how hard it is to get the pigment out with alcohol ;-) Not sure why some slurp it out so easily while others don't. No noticeable difference in substance between HoM and some of the others, tho the ones with little substance do lose pigment quickly.
Are there different distributions of plastids? Thanks Chuck. Linda Mann east TN USA --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
