I'm also willing to participate in the pollen exchange. My season is the first
two weeks of may basically. I focus on novelty iris.

 Subject: [iris] Pollen Exchange

Dear Iris Hortnet friends: I do like this forum even though it is not used
much. I have initiated a new program called the Pollen Exchange. For more info
check out Pollen exchange in the general index of the Iris Encyclopedia or
click onB http://wiki.irises.org/bin/view/Main/InfoPollenExchange .

My bloom season has barely begun for my MDBs, so I have collected pollen from
only a couple of Iris so far, but this exchange I hope will create a number of
opportunities for people to try crosses that would be difficult without saving
their own pollen in some cases for more than a year.

Since the SDBs were created by Paul Cook and Geddes Douglas exchanging pollen
through the mail I can point to that notable success. I believe results maybe
iffy but the amount invested is very low compared to buying and growing many
plants. The exchange will be advertised in the upcoming AIS e-news letter,
News & Notes, and The Dwarf Iris society's new upcoming E-Newsletter 'Small
Talk'. The Dwarf Society's Small Talk will be free to anyone who sends me or
Lyn Wilson their e-mail address. I hope anyone interested in Dwarf Irises will
subscribe.
