_The World of Irises_ is a good place for some of this information. Regarding
the inhibitor, it seems to be present in almost all whites, yellows, and pinks.
There is also a recessive white (actually several), but it is quite rare in
modern TBs. Therefore if a TB does not have any blue or violet pigment visible,
it almost certainly carries the inhibitor.
