Unregistered Iris

Hi Sharon, Tom, et al.:

Your replies to Ellen's question on why unregistered irises are sold reminds me
of another:  Is the AIS the international point of registration for bearded
irises, so that hybridizers in the U.K., New Zealand, etc. register with them?
And is/are there other societies that are recognized registering bodies (in
Europe or Japan) for Japanese iris, bulbous iris, etc.?
