Re: CULT?, SPEC: Iris lactea

Mark Cook asked about I. lactea culture. I have it in a partially
shaded location, esp. shaded from the heat of the day. It gets
watered periodically, though it never shows signs of needing it. The
clump happens to be in an area where there are other plants that do
need water every couple weeks or so. It may be that these aren't the
optimum conditions, but the plant does well for me. Maybe it would
be even better if I did other things or had it in a different place,
but I don't know. These conditions are similar to those in which the
plant grew in the yard of the lady from whom I got it, though I think
it got more afternoon sun there and was likely left drier. It is a
dainty flower and makes a nice looking clump full of flowers.
