hi kathy,
..i live on the south shore, about an hour west of halifax...min temp is
10 C, it's right on the coast so it's quite wet, but some of my irises do
just fine...reticulata all over the place in the spring...blue and yellow
flags edging the pond, and a slew of bearded irises in various borders
(most arrived here in exchanges with pals and i've not been good about
getting names of them...though i will be keeping track from now
on...sorry i'm not up on the technical lingo yet :)
..i'm a painter, and irises have long been one of my favourites to
paint, and i used to have to travel to other people's gardens to paint
them in bloom, but i'm hoping to be able to do much of it right here in
my own backyard :)

(i don't sell those prints anymore...when i became too ill to work so
