PCN: seed germination techniques for warm climates

        I have several pods from cross's on PCH's and I would like to know what 
methods people have used for germination. The World of Iris does not 
specifically call out any procedure, but hints at sowing in Fall for mild 
climates. Will fresh seed have good germination if sown immediately after the 
pods break ? Again I am in a mild winter area and should have no problems 
overwintering seedlings outdoors.
