My mother is an incredible woman. Back when I used to think people cared
about the condition of my house she told me "put plenty of fresh flowers
around and hand people a glass of wine when they arrive - no-one will notice
if your house is clean".
So, if you come over and there's lots of vases of flowers around ... and I
hand you a glass of wine (although it's only 9 am)...
