As the Exhibition Chairman for the American Iris Society I'd like to remind
every one why we have iris shows. These shows are put on to educate the
public and provide knowledge about all types of iris.
In the past week an we had a problem with one person making the show more
important to himself, than the goals of the American Iris Society. In his
quest to push for his iris on the public, he probably ruined and iris
affiliate, and caused the elderly show chairman to go to the hospital with a
heart problem.
Shows are great for everyone, but lets make sure they are also fun for
everyone. This is a volunteer organization, that should be made up of people
enjoying what they are doing. One individual should not try to destroy groups
of people for his own personel power trip.
Have a great show season, and a FUN iris season!!!
