Yes, it really happened but it was strangely different from the
post....the moose stood on the automatic door-opener mat (or
whatever you call them) and the door opened and the receptionist
screamed and the moose just stood them and finally walked away.
Yes, there are *lots* of moose here...we see them all the time.
Last year, there was a big, bull moose in the local supermarket's
parking lot in the middle of the day. We are in the middle of the
White Mountain National Forest and this is the time of year that
the moose roam. I see their tracks often when I run my dogs in the
woods....I carry a weapon with me since they can be very dangerous.
The black bears are out now as well and they are mostly harmless
but a mother bear protecting her cubs can be ferocious.
Ellen (a bull moose can weigh upwards of 1,200 pounds - no match
for me at 5'3" and 127 lbs. - talking about height, etc.)
