Oooh, Amy,
Please don't let my columbines know that!! We moved to this property, (5
acres) in 1994, and it was just one big open field. I have been planting
like mad ever since, but we just dont have any shade, and probably won't
for a few more years yet, so please keep that under your hat. My
columbines are doing just fine, thank you!! I also have the red and
yellow natives, who, as you say, do very well. Have you tried
THILICTRUM? It has aquilegia-type foliage, but has a fluffy ball sort of
bloom.
