Hi Everyone,
Kathy Guest's question about which iris I could not live without is *really
tough* to answer, but at this particular moment I think it's CONJURATION and
CRIMSON KING:
CONJURATION has the most fabulous color and beautiful flaring
form--Standards pale blue, falls white blending out to blue/purple, B orange
with little white horns. It's tall and sturdy; it blooms over a long period;
it increases well.
CRIMSON KING is the one that got me hooked on irises. Here in Atascadero
(pretty mild winters) it blooms almost continuously. It has the most
wonderful glowing purple color and white beards. And I like the antique
form.
But then, there's JESSE'S SONG, and SWERTI and...
Mary Forte, Atascadero, CA Zone 8/9 heading into dry 90+ days, and saying
goodbye to all the irises (except CRIMSON KING)
