Then you can't go too far wrong, Patty. I am late with my favorite
JIs and SIs simply because I couldn't decide. The list was getting
longer and longer. :-(
Here is my favorite Japanese iris:
RASPBERRY GEM (1988) Dark red-violet, fading to purple-violet
with the falls veined darker, yellow signal. HM 1991 and was
hybridized by Anna Mae Miller. Gorgeous.
Siberian favorites:
1. INDY (Hollingworth '84) Deep red-violet with blue influence.
AM 1991.
2. SKY WINGS (Peck '71) Light blue bitone with white styles.
Never won an award.....it has a terrific bloom habit and only
gets better as it gets older. :-)
3. Any white Siberian in bloom. (Esther CDM, Bellisima, White
Triangles, Bridal Jig, Harspwell Happiness, Dreaming Yellow,
Snow Prince, etc.)
