Hi Ginny--
I know what you mean about the large chains, but I really can't do
without them. In the small towns here, a small bookstore can't make it
(and I think it's because not that many people read, and those that do
can't afford the prices of books today). At least when I really want a
particular book (I'm a voracious reader), there's always Barnes and
Nobles and online Amazon. And we'd never find something like HORTUS in
the local bodice-ripper-bookshop.
