Hello,
I've been trying to do some hybridizing for some time now. Without much
luck. I found out that I was putting the pollen in the wrong spot. I
started putting the pollen in the correct place and have had some crosses
take. The problem now is that there are these tiny black bugs about 1/16 to
1/8 inch long that are eating the pollen before I get to the flower. I have
even found them in blooms that are one day from full bloom. I opened the
flower up to try to beat the bugs to the pollen and they are already in
there. They only seem to be eating the pollen and some of the anther. Has
anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get
rid of them I'm starting to run low on pollen. Lots of blooms but no
pollen.
.
Thanks,
.
