I have no idea whether this is still viable information, but I note that in
an article in the Fall '92 issue of ROOTS, the Journal of the Historic Iris
Preservation Society, there is an article (p.14f) called Officially
Designated Historic MTB's, which lists those older irises introduced through
1962 that "are accepted by the Median Iris Society as meeting the rigorous
demands of this class."
LORELEY is not one of them.
