OT: Garden Visitors

Hi Everyone!

Dave and Nancy Silverberg, who are driving cross country to the AIS
Convention in Michigan, stopped by here this afternoon to view what we had
in bloom. Fortunately, after a cold and rainy spell stretching back to last
Saturday, quite a few iris have opened the last two days, so there was a
fair amount of fresh bloom to be seen.

Thanks to Dave for some sage advice about some of my seedlings that were in
bloom and for suggestions on correcting signs of the effects of an overdose
of pH on my Siberians!

It was a real pleasure for Carolyn and me to meet in person friends we have
made through Iris-L!
