iris ID

Hi

The last time it read my e-mail some one ask about id. on two iris. I am
quoting directly fromthe 1980 Schreiner's Catolog; "BLUE STACCOTA (Gibson
1977) EM. 40"A tal precicisely marked beauty with blue plicata edging. This
rhythmic edging of rich blue is highlighted by sparkling white background
especially in th4 falls where the sharp narrow blue rim and blue tipped
beards emphasize the cadance contrast. It's flowers are airily ruffled and
fluted. Far toofew worthy new blue plicatas have appeared on the iris horizon
of late. Am extremely welcome addition."

"LOOP THE LOOP"Schreiner 1975) ML. 44" Truly a paragon of beauty, our clean
cut medium blue-violet plicata is a model grower. Acool tone of glacial
white, the falls marked by a wire edgeing of blue-violet. The very full
rounded broad petals open wide and flare elegantly to show deep throat,
intensified by a pure large spot of deep violet on the stylearms. The
ruffling and needlepointing of color is exquisite. Opening three flowers at
one time, 8 to 9 buds. Supremely stylish, and exhibitor's and connoisseur's
choice. HC '73. HM'76. AM'78."

No I don't have all the old catologs, I borrowed this one from an elderly
lady in our local club. I have a few iris I'm trying to get proper id on
also. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel like taking time to ask for some help.
