Re CULT: New Iris




 
 Steve,
      Welcome to the Iris List.  If the new Irises are blooming, you might
 wish to cut the bloomstalks and make a bouquet.  Removing the bloomstalks
 will help keep the plant from being uprooted by wind, and also lets the
 energy from the plant go into root developement.  Also, don't allow the
 Irises to become overly dry, but don't overwater.  One good soaking a week
 should be good enough unless you are in the desert.  (Where are you?)  If
 you are in Kentucky, don't water, they are more than wet enough.
