MIIS/SIIS Show Report

Why doesn't someone ask me about Queen of the Show? Oh, well, since you
asked... Ernie and I got it for an MTB, ROBIN GOODFELLOW. So exciting
..we had 2 on the Queen's Table. The other one, a SA, SPECIAL FEATURE,
took second runner-up. It has long been a favorite of ours. We took 6 blue
ribbons, plus 5 reds and 1 white. Two were disqualified because Ann put
the wrong name on the tag. (blush) (TOUCH OF CLASS should have been CLASSIC
LOOK....little things like that!) I'm sorry that I don't have names of the
other winners...maybe I can find out later and report back. I think Nancy
& Irv Pocklington had first runner-up, Orville & Lu Dickhaut won the most
blue ribbons, Pat Hayden of our list was one of the winners...John
Bilski...Maybe I can get the names of the irises for you later. Please
forgive my lapse but it was our first and I was a gibbering idiot...while
Ernie remained perfectly calm. We never even suspected we would have
anything worthy of the Queen's Table. The show was over 100 miles from our
house and we only had a few left after the wind & rain Friday night. We
had a GREAT judging team and a great many visitors in the afternoon.
Wonderful place to have the show...under a huge skylight.
Congratulations to all the latest show winners on the list (that are so
much more sophisticated about their wins than we are) Walter, I do believe
you are right...it IS this list!)
From Ann Henson who is still trembling with excitement!!! ( Hi
Margaret & Debbie...Bet you thought I could never wait this long to post
the good news, huh? Well, our electricity was off last night)
