As I indicated to Linda earlier, I am seeing the same phenomenon on historic
irises which are not rebloomers and it must be weather related here since I
basically don't use chemicals, unless you count pyrethrins, except in grave
circumstances, which I have not had in the last few years. <knock wood> What
is not certain is whether it is related to colder temperatures this year or
heat and dought last year. We got so hot last year that I had a newly set
rhizome roast. Just went from fine to cooked through and soft in twenty four
hours. Nothing sissified about the plant either; it was HELEN COLLINGWOOD.
I'm in zone 7.
