Hello All In Iris Lands,
In spite of rain, hail, and frost our show went on last weekend and was
very successful. One hundred and sixty-one stalks were shown and
twenty-eight arrangements included irises. Hundreds of people filled the
Casa del Prado continually both days in the world famous Balboa Park.
Below are the award winners.

Best Iris of Show, WELCHE'S REWARD
A heartful of congratulations to all the winners including my husband who
took Queen of Show fourth year in a row, along with seven other trophies.
The big stir in the show room was with the public who couldn't believe that
the delicate midget, the miniature tall bearded, Welch's Reward could be
the best iris in the house. Steve spent both days educating them about what
a fine iris it is!
