I tell you this mess is epidemic. And people wonder why HIPS harps on the
subject. When something new blooms bone-wrong you figure maybe an honest
mistake happened--hopefully--but when you are talking about three pretty
close things, it sounds like either the clone is pretty variable, or maybe
someone got to guessing.
It isn't a new problem of course. Back in the 'twenties Alice Harding the
authoress and iris fancier remarked upon it. Luckily she liked one of the
wrong ones she got.
