This iris lover was raised in the river bottoms (lowlands) of North East
Arkansas (Near little black and current rivers.) Sandy soil, moccasins, and
copperheads were a fact of life. Also, learned a healthy respect for
rattlers while living over a cave in South Central Missouri, where you had to
watch for them in the trees overhead.
Gee, I'd almost forgot about the slithery little creatures.
