Hi all,
Ok. I'll start. I took my own garden tour today. Just jumped in the car
and pointed it. One of the places I visited was the display garden at
Natcher Elementary School in BG. The iris club is in the process of raising
the beds, two have been completed. A large truck load of dirt is being
hauled in for each quarter of the bed. Each bed contains 4 rows with 10 or
11 iris clumps in each row.
I grew Fringe Benefits for years with little success. However, today, I
found it blooming to registered height, maybe taller, with three open blooms
on perfectly branched stalks. (It could have taken BS in any show.) What
other orange was growing and doing well this year?
For sheer growth and abundance of blooms, nothing can beat Foster's Alabama
Bound. It has dominated the beds at natcher for years. <<<<<<<< this one is
for Carol>>>>>>>enjoy.
Betty in BG KY where we are having one of those rare days with nice
temperature, sunshine and NO rain.
