Donald,

The snakes must be starting to move about now. We've killed two rattlesnakes
in the last 5 days. Neither was very large, the largest was about 33". But
they sure make you LOOK before you reach down for that stalk of Johnson
grass :)  Blooms are about shot here too. TIGER HONEY bloomed a tad short,
but still respectable.

It also exciting when you discover a copperhead curled up at the base of one
of the plants.  I'm not especially fond of the adrenaline rush this gives
one, but am grateful to have seen the creature before I disturbed it
further.
