I checked again. Definitely a furry critter. It has hairs growing on the
falls too...and I don't meant the beard. I mean hairs...growing sparsely
throught the signal area. And also on the inside of the standards. I'll
try to get some pictures. Maybe it's not CAPITOLA? Another interesting
thing is that didn't produce any pollen. Strange for a halfbred, no?

Hmmm. CAPITOLA normally produces abundant pollen, oft described as able to
set pods on anything but a fence post. I don't recall CAPITOLA having
extra hairs flanking the beard or extending into the signal area, but
that's not uncommon on 3/4-breds and I'm getting in on more 1/2-bred
seedlings as I experiment with composite beard structures.

at
all. The description doesn't quite match...and my flower looks entirely
TB-ish. I'll post a photo to IRIS-PHOTOS.

It's half I. hoogiana, so doesn't have the onco traits many expect in
3/4-breds. It's tailored form really comes from hoogiana. I suppose it
could be described as TB-ish if you think back to the days before ruffles
and flourishes, but it does have a very distinct signal.
